New pizza store set to open

Domino’s is set to open its latest store in Newport on Monday April 8 providing pizza, handmade with fresh dough, vine-ripened tomato sauce and 100% mozzarella.

The store at 77 High Street will be open from 11am to 11pm, seven days a week, and is currently recruiting for roles, including shift managers, pizza makers, and delivery drivers.

The Newport store will create 25 jobs and it is offering flexible working shifts to fit around existing schedules, with many training and progression opportunities.

Ricky Kandola, operations director at SK Group, said: “We’re excited to come to the thriving market town of Newport. We are passionate about enhancing our new community with employment opportunities, where people from Newport can grow and develop their careers.

"Over 90 percent of Domino’s store managers started in-store or as a delivery driver, so whether you’re looking for a few extra hours or a completely new career path, there are roles to suit everyone.”

The store is celebrating with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday April 8 at 11am, where community members and customers are invited to meet the new store team and try some freshly prepared Domino’s pizza.

The store will be giving out 200 free personal pizzas to customers in the area the weekend before opening, along with a free cookie to all customers collecting their order in opening week.
