More than 50 business people from Shropshire gathered in Cockshutt for a marketing-themed information seminar organised by Shropshire Wildlife Trust.
The networking event, which was organised by Meres & Mosses Business Environment Network and held at Millennium Hall, focused on the ways businesses could best in form their clients and the general public about their contribution to the environment.
A variety of speakers took to the floor, including Alison Wright from Starfish Advertising, who gave an overview on how businesses can successfully market their environmental work, Kate Evason from Hatchers Solicitors who spoke about the work the law firm does with charitable causes and the benefit that brings, while Henry Carpenter from Shropshire Business fielded a Q&A session on how companies can best tell their stories through the printed press.
Other speakers included digital marketing agency Croud and David Ardill of Trebll.
Since launching in 2014, MMBEN now holds four such events each year.
Tom Hayek, corporate and business development officer of Shropshire Wildlife Trust said he was the delighted with the attendance levels and the variety of what was a packed programme.
“We were really pleased with the way the morning went,” said Mr Hayek.
“For me the most pleasing aspect was the number of new faces. People are clearly hearing that these meetings are well worth attending, and that’s brilliant.”
MMBEN is holding its next event on May 17 at Shropshire Wildlife Trust in Shrewsbury’s Abbey Foregate. The theme will be Funding your Sustainable Goals.
