Shropshire firm to survey London buildings

Chartered surveyors Towler Shaw Roberts has been chosen to survey a number of buildings in London as the firm's impressive reputation continues to be recognised across the UK.

The building consultancy team at Shropshire company TSR, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is heading to the capital to undertake the work, which is part of two investment portfolios.

Building surveyor Chris Hedley (pictured) said: "We will be surveying a package of buildings which form two investment portfolios in the city around the Knightsbridge area.

"There have been mixed reports in the media on the impact of Brexit on commercial property transactions but from our perspective we haven't seen any nervousness in the market, particularly in London. We continue to be appointed on good quality portfolios indicating that deals are still being done."

Mr Hedley added it's a busy time for TSR's building consultancy team. They recently handled three major dilapidation claims, saving clients a substantial amount of money.

He said: "We've been very busy on the dilapidation side of our business. We've had three big dilapidations claims settled where we've been acting for the client and have saved them some significant amounts of money.

"They were in Shrewsbury, Telford and Corby in Northamptonshire, which represented savings of about two thirds of the claim each time, which is a significant saving."
