Sustainability expert joins eco hub

A Bridgnorth 'eco hub' has taken on three new members of staff, including a director who is one of the leading international academics in the field of sustainability.

The trio join sister companies Credibly Green and Frith Resource Management who are based at the hub in Bridgnorth’s High Street.

Credibly Green provides environmental performance reports to customers throughout the UK and Frith Resource Management is a waste management consultancy working with clients ranging from international governments to local authorities.

Paul Frith, who founded both firms, said that the companies were now growing steadily, with the creation of an ‘eco hub’ in larger offices in Bridgnorth and the recruitment of more staff.

“We welcome the three to our growing team - they bring a wealth of valuable experience from the environmental sector and will enable us to provide our specialist services to a wider range of clients in the Midlands, across the UK and worldwide,” he said.

The new recruits are Dr Julieanna Powell-Turner who has been appointed as sustainability director. A top academic and researcher with over 16 years’ UK and overseas experience, her research is focussed on sustainability of material security and the associated risks and vulnerabilities in the supply chain.

She has worked at Cranfield University for 10 years as head of environmental science, senior lecturer and course director, supporting PhD and MSc students whilst researching the challenges, vulnerabilities and opportunities around sustainable supply networks.

Her new role will include accessing new markets for both Credibly Green and Frith RM and leading on projects in areas surrounding sustainable supply chains, the circular economy and resource management of raw materials.

Leanne Trow has been appointed as assistant environmental consultant. She is a recent environmental geoscience graduate from Cardiff University with a strong academic background covering environmental sciences, environmental management and climate change.

A graduate member of Chartered Institution for Waste Management, Leanne will be supporting the marketing and delivery of Credibly Green reports and analysing data, modelling and conducting research on behalf Frith Resource Management projects.

Cath Edwards joins as sustainability consultant, having worked as an expert in this field for many years. She has an MSc in environmental sustainability and experience of working with Natural England, Thames Water and not for profit organisations,

She will support the Credibly Green team in the promotion and delivery of their environmental reporting service for clients including manufacturers, schools, events, professional services and waste contractors.
