Entanet and its Chief Executive Officer have been shortlisted for two prestigious national business awards, the Telford communications provider has revealed.
The company itself is a finalist in the B2B Business of the Year category for the Amazon Growing Business Awards 2016, while CEO Elsa Chen (pictured below) has been named a finalist in the Business Leader of the Year category of the Women in IT Awards for the second year in succession.
The Amazon Growing Business Awards, which were created by Real Business, sponsored by Amazon and supported by the CBI, are arguably the UK’s most established and respected recognition of SME and entrepreneurial success. Previous winners include Innocent Drinks, Betfair, Lovefilm and Fever-Tree.
Organised by business-technology magazine Information Age, the Women in IT Awards has attracted widespread support since launching in 2015. The Business Leader of the Year award is presented to a female leader of a technology company.
“The judges consider the progress and growth of the company, the innovation it has brought to the market, and specific achievements and initiatives of the candidates,” an Entanet spokesman said.
“This is the second year that Elsa Chen has been nominated and shortlisted for the Business Leader of the Year award.
“Entanet has continued to make steady and stable progress in a rapidly-changing and competitive market. The company is constantly developing and innovating to improve services and advance its business.”
The company has over 100 staff, its own national MPLS network, a strong position within the connectivity market, and an extensive and established community of channel partners.
It is on target to achieve an annual turnover of around £36 million in the current financial year.
The winners of the Amazon Growing Business Awards will be announced on 30 November 2016 at a ceremony at The Brewery in the City of London. The 2017 Women in IT Awards will be announced on 26 January 2017 at the InterContinental London Park Lane.
