A boutique fitness studio and purpose-built bootcamp training facility have opened to the public in Shrewsbury alongside the town’s new £5.5 million Love2Stay resort.
Love Fitness at Salop Leisure, a members-only business, runs more than 35 bespoke classes and training programmes a week from 6am to 8pm daily, providing coaching and specialised personal trainers.
Since launching in August, more than 100 members have signed up and Simon Macdonald and Tom Meehan, who run Love Fitness at Salop Leisure, are looking for a maximum membership of 250.
They say there is no fitness facility like it in Shropshire, having copied aspects from London and New York to weave into the studio and develop innovative fitness programmes.
“We are offering bespoke training and classes that have not been seen in this area before,” said Simon.
“Innovative sessions usually associated with professional athletes can now be accessed at Love Fitness.
“The classes have been formatted so that they work on 12-week progress and every session is planned. It’s like personal training in a class environment.
“The sessions are designed to be fun, motivating and progressive. By following our structured approach to fitness, members will see and feel changes to their body, inspiring them to continue leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
“Tom and I have been fitness coaches since 2005 and we believe our sessions offer a well-rounded approach to fitness training, engaging energy systems and muscle groups in a way that keeps your body as actively challenged as your mind.
“It’s our intention to offer a personalised service and bespoke experience that you don’t get in a big gym.”
