Telford & Wrekin Borough businesses have until May 11 to register for the Telford50 Business Award.
As part of the Telford 50 celebrations, Telford & Wrekin Council wants to highlight the special role that businesses play in making Telford such a vibrant place to live and work in.
At the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards on 15 June at Telford International Centre, the Council will make a Telford50 award to the company that has had the greatest impact to the borough any time over the past 50 years.
Registrations to the Telford 50 award are open until 11 May 2018 on www.scbatelford50.co.uk
A shortlist of four companies will be announced on the website by 18 May. A public vote will be held afterwards to decide the winner.
All types of businesses can apply for this award - whether they are new to Telford and Wrekin or have been in the area in the last 50 years, whether their name is locally, nationally or internationally renowned, whether they are small, medium or large.
Applicants to the Telford50 Business Award only need to say in 250 words why they think they should win the award and what makes them stand out in Telford and Wrekin.
Councillor Lee Carter, Cabinet member for Finance, Partnerships & Commercial Services said: “Telford50 is all about celebrating Telford’s many achievements and its exciting future as a developing and growing town.
“Borough businesses and their employees are an integral part of Telford’s present and future and we would like to recognize their outstanding contribution in making Telford what it is today, a vibrant place to live and work in.”
