AI: How much do we really know?

Professional services firms from across Shropshire are being invited to dive into the fast‑moving world of artificial intelligence at a networking event later this month.

Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is holding its next Professionals Partnership meeting on Friday May 22, at the Mercure Telford Centre Hotel from 7.30am to 10am.

The theme will be ‘The Impact of AI on Professional Services’ and the guest speaker will be Paul Bennett of law firm Bennett Briegal.

He will look at how AI is influencing professional firms, the key opportunities and risks, and the practical steps companies can take now to prepare their business for what’s ahead.

Shropshire Chamber’s head of member success, Kelly Riedel, said: “AI is already changing the way professional services firms operate but businesses need to find out how prepared they really are for the future.

“Our event will give advice on the practical steps businesses should be considering as AI is already playing a key role in the day-to-day operation of many companies, and its influence is only set to grow further.”

The AI advice event has been created for anyone interested in technology and innovation in the professional services sector.

“We’d particularly urge companies in the following sectors to sign up to attend: accountancy and tax advisory; legal services; financial services and wealth management; HR and recruitment; management and business consultants; IT services; marketing, PR and communications agencies; and web and software designers,” said Kelly.
