Cleobury Mortimer-based Kudos Blends - a pioneer in baking science and global leader in advanced leavening systems - has celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Founded in 1999 by entrepreneur Dinnie Jordan, the company has spent the past quarter of a century transforming the baking industry with a science-led approach to baking powder innovation.
Born from a desire to solve real challenges faced by industrial bakeries, Kudos Blends began as a vision to reimagine leavening systems for better performance, cleaner labels, and improved product quality. Today, it stands as a trusted global partner for bakery brands across continents, known for its precision, quality, and customer-focused research and development.
To commemorate this journey, Kudos Blends hosted a black-tie anniversary celebration at Brockencote Hall. The event welcomed shareholders, customers, global distributors, suppliers, and team members for an evening of fine dining, entertainment, and reflection. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception, a three-course dinner, cocktails, live music, and a casino night.
In addition to the evening festivities, attendees were invited on tours of the Kudos Blends site in Cleobury Mortimer. Guests explored the company’s recent developments, including the upgraded milling facilities, a brand new test bakery and upgraded laboratory.
Over 25 years, Kudos Blends has grown from a local startup to an internationally-respected name in baking science, with customers and strategic distribution partnerships spanning Europe, North America, Asia, and Australasia.
Collaborations with multinational bakery manufacturers and ingredients suppliers have enabled Kudos Blends to support diverse market needs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Despite its global impact, the company remains proudly rooted in its Shropshire origins. Its location in Cleobury Mortimer serves as a hub for technical expertise, innovation, and collaborative development.
CEO Dinnie Jordan said: “When I started Kudos Blends, I just wanted understand the chemistry behind baking powders in relation to baking in order to help bakeries overcome their technical challenges. I never dreamt we would become a global leader in the field!
"Our prestigious celebration party was a tribute to everyone who has supported the journey; our shareholders and every customer, supplier, distributor and employee who helped to shape the Kudos pathway over the last 25 years. I am truly grateful to everyone and most especially the wonderful team I have today."
