Chance to win marketing support

A Shropshire marketing agency has launched a nationwide giveaway offering one UK business £12,000 worth of professional marketing support.

The Business Tea - founded by brother-and-sister team Sarah and Ross Powell - is offering the winning business the equivalent of a full month of its VIP marketing support, with the founders working directly with the winner to identify and tackle the marketing challenges and opportunities that could make the biggest difference to their business.

The competition opens on September 28 2026 and businesses have until 11:59pm on October 7 2026 to enter.

Unlike a traditional marketing competition where the prize might be an audit, consultation or predefined package, the winning business will be able to use the £12,000 support flexibly according to its priorities.

That could mean developing a clearer marketing strategy, improving SEO and online visibility, getting more from paid advertising, strengthening social media and content, improving analytics and measurement, or tackling a specific marketing challenge the business has been struggling to solve.

The Business Tea was founded by Sarah and Ross after almost 20 years of combined experience working across in-house and agency marketing roles, including senior-level experience with brands and businesses such as Travis Perkins, Home Retail Group (Argos), One4all, PDSA and Blackhawk Network.

The pair launched the agency with the aim of giving businesses access to experienced, commercially focused marketing support without being tied to a particular channel or one-size-fits-all approach.

Ross said: “We speak to a lot of businesses that know marketing could be doing more for them, but aren't necessarily sure where they should be putting their time or money.

“We wanted to create a prize that could genuinely make a difference to a business rather than simply giving away a simple audit or a few hours of advice.

“The winner will have direct access to both of us and the same level of support we'd provide to one of our VIP clients. We'll get under the skin of their business, understand what they need and focus our support where we believe it can make the greatest difference.”

Sarah added: “One of the reasons we created The Business Tea was because we've seen how easy it is for marketing to become fragmented or disconnected from what actually drives business growth. SEO is happening over here, paid media somewhere else, social media is doing its own thing, and nobody is necessarily looking at how it all contributes to the commercial objectives of the business.

“For the winner, this is an opportunity for us to get properly under the skin of their marketing and help them move something meaningful forward.”

The giveaway is open to eligible UK-based businesses, with one standard entry permitted per business. The winning business will receive £12,000 worth of flexible, hands-on marketing support from The Business Tea, with the support available to use until March 2027.

Businesses can enter free of charge at thebusinesstea.co.uk/giveaway between September 28 and October 7, 2026.
