Charities benefit from quarterly draw

A Shropshire accountancy firm has been supporting local good causes through its ongoing client-led charity nomination scheme.

Dyke Yaxley Chartered Accountants in Shrewsbury carries out regular customer satisfaction surveys and as part of the programme, clients are invited to nominate a local charity that is close to their hearts.

Each nominated organisation is then entered into a quarterly draw, with one charity selected at random to receive a £250 donation.

Managing director Marie Bramwell said: “This initiative reflects our long-standing belief that businesses play an important role in strengthening the communities they are part of. By empowering clients to choose the charities that matter most to them, we ensure our donations are meaningful, relevant, and rooted in genuine local impact.”

Over the past year, four charities were selected through the quarterly draws:

Lingen Davies Cancer Support – Dyke Yaxley’s current chosen charity, providing vital support services for people affected by cancer across Shropshire and Mid Wales.

Hope House Children’s Hospice – offering specialist care and support for children with lifelimiting conditions and their families.

Severn Hospice – delivering compassionate endoflife care and support for patients and loved ones throughout Shropshire and the surrounding region.

Midlands Air Ambulance – the life-saving emergency service funded entirely by charitable donations, serving communities across the Midlands.

Marie said: “Supporting local charities is an important part of who we are as a firm. Our quarterly draw allows us to give back in a way that directly reflects the values of our clients, and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to nominate a charity this year.

“We’d like to congratulate all four organisations selected and thank them for the incredible work they do for our community.”

Dyke Yaxley Chartered Accountants will continue the quarterly charity draw throughout the coming year, ensuring that more local charities have the opportunity to benefit from client nominations and financial support.
