Estate agent marks record lettings year

Independent estate agency Berriman Eaton is marking a record year for its lettings department by reinvesting in a major expansion across Shropshire.

The firm, which now manages more than 500 rental properties across its network, has invested £125,000 in expanding its Whitburn Street premises in Bridgnorth, transforming neighbouring space into a dedicated lettings department.

The move comes as activity in the region has increased by more than 50% in the past year, driven by rising demand for homes in Bridgnorth and the surrounding rural areas, as well as other towns such as Newport and Telford.

The new lettings department will be led by Harry Brueton, who has been promoted to head-up the operation following a successful career within the firm.

ARLA qualified and specialising in property management, the 28-year-old lives in the county and was educated at Wolverhampton Grammer School.

Andy Roberts, managing director at Berriman Eaton, said: “Our lettings department has achieved fantastic growth over the past five years as landlords turn to trusted agents during these uncertain times.

“Shropshire is a real hotspot for us. The investment in a dedicated Bridgnorth lettings department reinforces our commitment to expansion in the area and, importantly, delivering a quality service on the doorstep.

"Clients in the area can now visit the office in Whitburn Street to discuss the new legislation that has just come into force or arrange a confidential meeting to review their portfolio and any problems they may be experiencing.

“We provide a full comprehensive management service, rent reviews and bi-annual inspections, as well as rent guarantee insurance. It is an exciting opportunity to expand the business.

“The new department has made a strong start, accounting for 30% of all agreed lettings in the Bridgnorth area since the office opened, while also leading on a significant share of new instructions.”

Berriman Easton also operates a discreet off-market lettings service, working with professional sportspeople, high-net-worth clients and international tenants seeking privacy and bespoke support.

“At this level, discretion and attention to detail are everything,” said Andy. “We deliver a 24/7 concierge-style service that ensures landlords and tenants alike receive the highest standards of professionalism.”

In addition to lettings, Berriman Eaton provides specialist advice on residential sales and purchases across Shropshire and the West Midlands. The firm - a Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award winner - now employs almost 40 people across its three offices in Bridgnorth, Wombourne and Tettenhall.
