Marketing and event management company Adfield Group - which is based in Beckbury - has obtained Cyber Essentials accreditation with the support of Shrewsbury-based managed IT services provider Start Tech.
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed security standard designed to protect companies from common cyber threats. The National Cyber Security Centre recommends organisations of all sizes secure this certification to demonstrate that they are dedicated to safeguarding digital assets and keeping them out of the hands of criminals.
Adfield’s chief operating officer Gareth Thomas said: "At Adfield, we have always taken cyber security extremely seriously, and gaining this certification highlights that we are ready to adapt our practices in response to evolving cyber threats.”

Start Tech has been supporting Adfield with its cyber security since January this year and it supplies ongoing support to ensure all systems operate efficiently.

Adfield’s partnership with Start Tech has not only enhanced its cyber defences but also aligns with its ambition to build relationships with local companies.
Although Adfield does not offer cyber security services directly, its expert website design and development team can offer specialist advice regarding the plug-ins and platforms organisations can use to protect their websites from hackers.
