A growth hub guru will give expert tips to help new businesses and self-employed people charge the right amount for their time and products at a free workshop.
Transformational coach Helen Leathers – one of a team of gurus working alongside the Marches Growth Hub Telford & Wrekin – is running the workshop on May 15.
The three-hour Pricing with Confidence session will cover key areas including learning to value your time and experience, understanding how to price your service and revamping your pricing structure.
Claire Critchell, manager of the Marches Growth Hub Telford & Wrekin, which is delivered by Telford & Wrekin Council, said the workshop would be best suited to service-based businesses.
“One of the most commonly-asked questions by business start-ups and even people who have been self-employed for a while is ‘how do I get my pricing right?’ This workshop will look in detail at some of the issues around this and give everyone the skills they need to price with confidence.
“If you have ever found yourself panicking when people ask how much you charge or suddenly deciding to make them a special offer or reduce the figure you had in your head, then this is the workshop for you.”
Helen, who is also a professional speaker and best-selling author, said: “Let’s put an end to the angst and get you confident in your pricing – and earning more. I will show you some simple strategies to work out your pricing structure and we’ll also spend time on you so that you value yourself more and feel comfortable and confident with what you charge.”
The workshop starts at 9.15am and is being held at the Marches Growth Hub Telford & Wrekin’s base on the Innovation Campus at Priorslee.
