Pupils at a Market Drayton primary school are putting safety first after a donation of bicycle bells from David Wilson Homes.
Longlands Primary School - which is close to the housebuilder’s development The Damsons - received 100 bicycle bells to help the children stay safe when riding their bicycles.
Year 2 teacher Lorna Hounsell said: “We are very grateful for the donation and know that the children will be keen to get their hands on one of the free bells. We promote active lifestyles at Longlands and hope this will get more children out of their homes and on their bicycles safely.”
Helen Lewis, managing director at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: “We hope our donation to Longlands Primary School will help to encourage the children to cycle more, while also helping them to keep safe when on their bicycles.
“It is important to us to help contribute and support the local communities close to where we build."
