Show success for manufacturer

Telford thermal insulation specialist Seymour Manufacturing International showcased its new-look product range at the 2017 Commercial Vehicle Show.

The award-winning manufacturer is the inventor of Tempro – a unique lightweight insulation material with exceptional thermal properties.

It is used across a wide range of industries, including supermarket chains such as Waitrose, Asda and Marks & Spencer, plus the Ministry of Defence, pharmaceuticals, and the National Health Service.

At the CV Show (April 25-27), SMI exhibited some of its new-look products, including the Back-Stop range for frozen, chilled and ambient food hauliers, described by one of its customers – Telford-based Ruskim Seafoods Limited - as ‘light years ahead’ of any rival products on the market right now.

The SMI team was also demonstrating its pallet and box covers and liners, and Track-Rack systems on its CV Show stand . . . and telling visitors about Green-Door, a new lightweight replacement for the dreaded ‘night door’ at supermarkets.

The SMI range attracted significant media interest, including an appearance on Sky, freeview and cable TV show, Birmingham Business.

Managing director Brian Seymour said: “It was a very successful show, giving us the chance to meet up with some existing clients, and pick up useful new sales leads which we hope will now lead to fruitful new business partnerships.”

SMI has just expanded into larger premises, and the company’s ‘thermal protection perfection’ family is growing all the time, as clients both in the UK and abroad discover their energy and cost-saving credentials.

It is currently in talks to expand its export markets into Saudi Arabia, and Russia.
