Wellbeing festival for health and care staff

The past 18 months have been the most challenging ever for anyone involved with Health and Care.

In Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin there are over 20,000 people working within these sectors including hospital workers, doctors and nurses, care homes, domiciliary teams, adult social care, primary care staff plus all the support functions and office-based personnel.

This September STW Integrated Care System (ICS) will be offering all these people a chance to take part in a Wellbeing Festival specially developed with them in mind.

The overall theme will be of acknowledging the hard times and the hard work, acceptance of the challenges they all faced and then adaptation and advancement to a more positive future.

The event was featured on the July edition of Shropshire Business Live TV - watch the interview here:

The virtual festival will run throughout each day for an entire week, with daytime and evening programmes so everyone has an opportunity to access some of the sessions. The programme will include high profile speakers with topics such as Resiliency training, Personal Growth, the Science of Happiness and much more.

To give the event a local feel, there will be sessions filmed on location to shine a spotlight on the work of the NHS and Social Care teams. In addition, delegates will be able to join in with activity sessions including band practice, meditation, mindfulness and also to learn about herbology, skin care and inner-health routines, ending each day with a Book at Bedtime.

This event presents a tremendous opportunity for local business to show their support for the amazing work and courage shown by the NHS and Social care teams in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin plus a commercial opportunity for those companies involved in self-care or health to access over 20,000 across all levels in this vital sector.

The NHS is actively seeking support and sponsorship from local businesses to help finance the festival. With packages available from £200 to £5,000, Shropshire companies of all sizes can show appreciation for key workers who have, in many cases, put their mental and physical wellbeing at risk over the last 18 months to safeguard others.

There’s the opportunity to include both digital offers and physical gifts so please get on board and support those who have worked so hard to protect all members of our local community.
