Shrewsbury networking group launched

Young professionals turned out in force for the launch of a new networking group in Shrewsbury.

Led by Shrewsbury BID - with support from Hatchers Solicitors and DRE and Co Accountants - the new group, Future of Shrewsbury Network held its first sellout event in Tanners' courtyard in Wyle Cop.

More than 30 young business people welcomed the opportunity to connect and meet like-minded people over a glass of wine. The network is the only one of its type in Shrewsbury and encourages new and upcoming professionals to get together in relaxed and informal environments.

The events have been organised to cater to a breadth of interests and schedules and are open to anyone that works in and around Shrewsbury.

Kate Evason of Hatchers Solicitors said: “As a local business we welcome the opportunity to support events in the town and are delighted to be involved with the Future of Shrewsbury Network. We look forward to a varied and exciting programme of events.”

Fellow supporter Becky Jones from DRE and Co Accountants added: “The Future of Shrewsbury Network is a great way to meet other professionals in a relaxed setting with no agenda.”

Emma Molyneux, Project Assistant at Shrewsbury BID said: “The events offer a new way for our members to connect and work together, while showcasing the range of exciting venues the town has to offer.”

The next networking event is sampling the Pan-Asian three course wave menu at House of the Rising Sun on Friday November 25, followed by mulled wine and mince pies on Wednesday 14 December.
