A Shropshire wedding venue has joined forces with a reiki master to take the stress out of brides and their families in the run-up to their weddings.
Iscoyd Park, near Whitchurch, has teamed up with Tracy Langley, who runs Totally Balanced Therapy near Shrewsbury, to provide what is understood to be a unique service in the region.
Susie Godsal, co-owner of Iscoyd Park, said that she knows of several brides who admitted that reiki treatments allowed them to feel their best for their wedding.
“Tracy has a remarkable ability to connect with how you are feeling, and to take the stress out of your life through only one or two sessions,” said Mrs Godsal, pictured below with Tracy.
“It is an ideal treatment for a bride - or indeed any member of the wedding party - to receive as a good practitioner will leave them feeling and indeed looking their very best.
“As the body relaxes and starts to de‐stress, the loss of toxins accelerates, resulting in clear eyes, shiny hair and great skin.
“By re‐setting the body, mind and spiritual balance, it leaves you with a wonderful radiance and feeling amazing.
“She has certainly helped my life as well as that of my husband Phil - who was previously somewhat cynical about the therapy - and now we are both converts to reiki!
“So I speak from experience when I say that Tracy is an amazing therapist and what she offers is ideal for brides and their families at what can be a highly stressful time for them.
“We’ve been really pleased to add treatments from Totally Balanced Therapy to our package which we believe is a unique service for a wedding venue in this area.”
Mrs Langley originally set up Totally Balanced Therapy to help animals - primarily horses - which were unwell.
She then applied her skills on people and went on to become a reiki master.
“Reiki is all about mindfulness and balancing the whole body’s natural energies,” she explained.
“Many people find that just one session is enough to achieve a really balanced state of calm and wellbeing.”
