Tough year ahead for Furrows Sales Manager

A Shropshire sales manager has set herself a year of tough physical challenges to raise vital funds for mental health charities. Isha Alsadek leads the new car sales team at Furrows of Telford, and she has a busy year ahead.

“I have wanted to do some charity work for some time and to push myself too by taking on challenges that really were out of my comfort zone. Although I know they will be uncomfortable and difficult, I’m hoping they will be memorable and rewarding at the same time.”

Isha will start her campaign with The Three Peaks challenge in 24 hours in May, followed by summiting Mount Kilimanjaro (leaving for Tanzania on July 8), and then running her first ever marathon on October 11 in Manchester.

“Mental health and anxiety are topical issues and many people lose their battle seeing no way out. Many others suffer quietly and in silence – and in fact statistically one in four of us will suffer with poor mental health at some point in their lives.

“I’ve found that being outside makes a real difference for me, and my new-found love of the outdoors is what helps me – more importantly, it’s how it makes me feel. So as tough and strenuous as my fundraising challenges sound, I’m actually looking forward to tackling them and putting myself to the test to raise money for Mind and Anxiety UK to help others who are less fortunate.”

Isha said she had already received incredible support from family, friends and colleagues, and was hoping to raise as much money as possible for her chosen causes.

“I appreciate that times are tough for many people, but if anyone could support my efforts I’d be extremely grateful.”

“Research shows that £8 funds a vital phone call to help support someone in need, so I’m hoping that I can raise as much as I can to make a difference.”
