CJ Wildlife, which specialises in the research, design and development of wildlife food and feeding products, is celebrating a double award-winning success for its apprentices.
Bradley Marlow and Nicole Cartledge, based at the company’s Upton Magna headquarters, have both been recognised at Telford College’s outstanding achievement awards.
Bradley, 20, from Telford, joined the company in October 2017 as an IT apprentice, and has since been promoted to become an IT support administrator.
He single-handedly managed the company’s IT department at its base in Holland during staff shortages, and has also played a pivotal role in the company’s GDPR compliance work.
Nicole, 25, also from Telford, joined the firm in April 2018 as a sales and customer service advisor, and has already been promoted to become a supervisor this summer in recognition of her commitment.
Both apprentices are studying through Telford College alongside their CJ Wildlife work – Bradley has just begun a level four IT professional competence course, while Nicole is now on a level three diploma in management.
Vicki Savage at CJ Wildlife said: “Both Brad and Nicole have an exceptional attitude to work, and have shown 100% commitment and dedication. Their work ethic, attitude and behaviour has definitely had a positive, reassuring impact.
“The team and I can always rely on Nicole for help and support, and to complete any task promptly and accurately, and Brad has become a ‘go to’ person for many in the business.”
The duo were among the top Shropshire apprentices to receive certificates of recognition at the 2019 Telford College outstanding achievement awards evening.
Graham Guest, the college’s principal and chief executive, said: “The evening was an opportunity to celebrate the incredible achievements and progress of our students throughout the year.”
