Carl joins Henshalls in Newport

A Shropshire insurance broker has welcomed a new face to the team who has over 40 years of industry experience.

Carl Harris has joined Henshalls at their head office in Newport, and he has a wealth of knowledge in both personal lines and commercial insurance broking.

“I am very pleased to have joined Henshalls as they have an excellent reputation across Shropshire and beyond, and it’s a great opportunity to work with colleagues who are extremely knowledgeable and who have made me feel so welcome,” said Carl.

“My role will involve delivering personal lines advice to domestic customers and I’m looking forward to meeting both new and existing clients to provide effective and direct advice face-to-face.”

Carl has previously worked for Bryan & Knott as office manager in Wellington for over 20 years, and continued with the company when it was taken over by Swinton in 2010 until the branch was closed earlier this year.

Henshalls managing director Mark Freeman said Carl’s appointment was excellent news for the firm’s clients.

“We’re very happy to have Carl in our team and we’re sure his decades of experience will prove invaluable when it comes to securing the right cover for each of our clients that will suit their specific individual requirements.

“His career has spanned many years during which the industry has been completely transformed, and his skills and attention to detail make him a welcome addition to our firm.”

Henshalls has been in business for over 50 years, and has offices in Newport. Stafford, and Shrewsbury serving both the local community and clients further afield across the UK. The company is totally committed to supporting the local community and many of its 30-strong staff live in and around the Newport area.
