Oswestry building products merchant General Buildings Plastics is running a free demonstration day for building trade professionals and keen DIY-ers looking to improve their flat roofing skills.
The retailer and specialist supplier of quality low maintenance building products has teamed up with GRP Roofing to host the event on Tuesday April 11 at its Oswestry branch at Unit 2, Aspec House, Maes-y-Clawdd.
GB Plastics supplies the complete range of Cromar ProGRP roofing products, which are an easy to install component flat roof system specifically designed for use in the UK.
“The demo day will be great for any builder or trade professional thinking about expanding into the flat roof market, or for a homeowner DIY-er considering replacing their own flat roof,” said Wendy Hill, Director at GB Plastics.
“The Cromar ProGRP system is really easy to install and doesn’t require heat, unlike the systems of old that needed hot tar applied. It is very durable and includes everything needed to install the flat roof – from fibreglass matting, fascia trims, and expansion joints, to brushes, rollers, resin, hardeners and top coats.”
The company’s general manager Matt Wedderkopp, added: “Cromar GRP is such a great product range. In addition to using it for flat roofs, many of our customers have found it ideal for a host of other applications, including for lining wet rooms and on roof valleys. One customer has even used it to create an elevated pond in a client’s garden!”
Tradespeople taking part in the demo day will have the chance to sign-up for a more in-depth training day, which, once completed, will enable them to offer customers a 25-year guarantee on their Cromar ProGRP roof installation.
